One Piece TCG ST-31 to ST-36 — The Complete 6-Color Starter Deck Wave Guide
Six new starter decks, one for every color — Nika Luffy (Red), Zoro (Green), Kuzan (Blue), Katakuri (Purple), Sabo (Black), and Kid (Yellow). Releasing July 2026, this is the best new-player entry point in the game's history.
Bandai is releasing six new starter decks simultaneously in July 2026 — one for every color in the One Piece Card Game. Each deck has a new dedicated leader: Nika Luffy (Red), Zoro (Green), Kuzan (Blue), Katakuri (Purple), Sabo (Black), and Kid (Yellow). This is the most comprehensive new-player entry point the game has produced — every color has a purpose-built, ready-to-play deck at the same time.
Why this is the biggest starter deck release yet
Every previous starter deck wave has covered a subset of colors — leaving new players who wanted to start with a specific color waiting, or importing an older deck. ST-31 to ST-36 covers all six colors at once. Whether a new player's favourite character is a Red Luffy, a Green Zoro, or a Yellow Kid, there's a fresh deck available on the same day in July 2026.
For existing players, this wave is also a leader card refresh — all six decks feature new leader cards not previously available in this form. Zoro as a standalone Green leader, Kuzan as a dedicated Blue leader, and Sabo in Black are particularly notable.

Which deck is which?
| Set | Color | Leader | Archetype notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| ST-31 | Red | Monkey D. Luffy (Nika) | Nika-form Luffy — freedom and aggression. Red's most explosive style. |
| ST-32 | Green | Roronoa Zoro | Zoro's first dedicated Green leader. Typically reward-for-resting characters style. |
| ST-33 | Blue | Kuzan (Aokiji) | Admiral Blue — control and bounce mechanics. Pairs with OP-16 Admiral Manga Rares. |
| ST-34 | Purple | Charlotte Katakuri | Big Mom crew midrange. Katakuri's looking-ahead ability translates well to deck manipulation. |
| ST-35 | Black | Sabo | Revolutionary Army Black. Sabo brings targeted removal and board control. |
| ST-36 | Yellow | Eustass Kid | Kid's Yellow Supernovas — life-point based effects, Yellow's classic burn strategy. |
Red (ST-31 Nika Luffy) is historically the most forgiving archetype for new players — direct, aggressive, character-led. Blue (ST-33 Kuzan) is best for players who like controlling the board. Pick by your favourite character — you'll play better with a deck whose leader you actually care about.
Which leader cards are worth watching?
For existing players and collectors, the most notable new leaders from this wave:
- Kuzan / Aokiji (ST-33, Blue): Admiral Blue leaders have a strong competitive track record. Kuzan is a beloved character with broad collector appeal — and releasing alongside the OP-16 Admiral Manga Rares makes for natural demand alignment.
- Sabo (ST-35, Black): Sabo has been consistently requested as a standalone Black leader. The Revolutionary Army build is an unexplored archetype — this is the first proper Black Sabo deck.
- Nika Luffy (ST-31, Red): Gear 5 / Nika form Luffy as a leader. Luffy leaders always move — this specific form is one of the game's most popular character versions.
- Zoro (ST-32, Green): First dedicated Green Zoro leader. The character sells reliably in any format.
Which deck to buy if you're just starting?
The 6-color wave is specifically designed as a new-player moment. All six decks are fully functional and ready to play out of the box — your decision is purely character and playstyle preference:
- You like attacking aggressively: ST-31 Red Nika Luffy. Go wide, attack often, apply pressure.
- You like controlling the game: ST-33 Blue Kuzan. Bounce your opponent's characters and disrupt their plans.
- You like one powerful threat at a time: ST-34 Purple Katakuri. Plan your turns ahead, set up decisive moments.
- You like removing threats: ST-35 Black Sabo. Targeted removal and board control.
- You like playing from behind: ST-36 Yellow Kid. Life-total based effects — the lower your health, the more dangerous.
- You like rewarding patient plays: ST-32 Green Zoro. Build a board and protect your resting characters.
Pick the deck with the leader you like most. All six are competitive out of the box. Skill development matters more than optimal color choice at this stage — play the character that makes you want to learn.
